A one-day event for the Greater Bay Area, featuring workshops, information about homeschool groups in the area, a curriculum share, and a chance to ask questions and fellowship with other homeschool parents.
Workshops will cover these topics: Am I qualified to homeschool? Why should I homeschool? Is homeschooling legal? Which curriculum should I choose? Where do I go for resources? Where do I find my community? What steps do I take to homeschool? What are some hints, tips and hacks for preschool & elementary children? How do I build a homeschool plan for my high school student? How do I prepare for college?
HOMESCHOOL COMMUNITY & SUPPORT GROUPS
Find a community group that fits your family. Several will be there from the Bay Area.
Talk to real homeschooling families about the curriculum they use with their family. They will be open from 4:45-5:45 p.m.
2:00-3:55 p.m. – Welcome and Introduction to Homeschooling
4:00-4:45 p.m. – Workshops covering the topics of Elementary (and Preschool), Junior High, and High School/College Prep
4:45-5:45 p.m. – Curriculum Share & Networking to Find Your Community
