Ventura County Homeschool Event

There’s a lot of rhetoric thrown around about the benefits and possible issues of homeschooling, but what is true? Has there been actual research? If so, what do the numbers say?

Join Dr. Brian Ray of National Home Education Research Institute (NHERI) and Nathan Pierce of Family Protection Ministries (FPM) for a special afternoon of informative and encouraging sessions. Topics covered will include:

  • How do homeschool students do academically and socially?
  • Case studies and research numbers about abuse in public, private, and home education
  • What are the numbers in California specifically?
  • Is homeschooling right for my family and what are my options?
  • If you’re just considering homeschooling, we’ll show you how easy it is to get started
  • How much freedom do we have to homeschool in California? Is our freedom in jeopardy? How can we expand it?
  • Plenty of time for Q&A

Also, come meet other homeschoolers in your area, learn the answers to all your “how to homeschool” questions, and enjoy the chance to ask questions of experienced homeschool parents.

Thank you to our sponsor, Classical Conversations.

Doors open at 12:30 p.m. Light refreshments will be served.

This event is open to all, but due to space limitations and subject matter, we respectfully request no children under 13 attend this event. Thank you for your understanding.

This CHEA In the Neighborhood event is hosted by ACHEV.
